On April 12, 2017, Mr. Philipe Richard, Secretary General of OIEC (International Office of Catholic Education) and Mr. José Antonio Cecilia, Chairman of OMAEC meet at Madrid, Spain, to discuss important issues for both organizations as follows:
· Revision of the agreement signed between both organizations in 1975, which remains and will remain in force. During the next OIEC meeting, to be carry out at at Beirut, Lebanon, there will be informed of our meeting. M. Richard invited OMAEC to participate in this meeting at Beirut, Lebanon.
· The OIEC has installed an office in Rome, in the General House of La Salle, the same OMAEC official headquarters site.
· During the meeting there were discussed other issues as how to take advantage of the Synergy of Correspondents and different joint initiatives.
OMAEC thanks Mr. Richard for his trip to Madrid for our meeting and the commitments made by both representatives.
