From the Solidarity and Social Justice Secretariat, leads by Nelson Moros (Colombia), we have important news to share with all of you.
During the month of April and taking advantage of a tour of Nelson Moros in Europe, he had a pleasant meeting in Spain with José Ramón Batiste, executive vice president of OMAEC, where they discussed the lines set by our president Alfonso Giraldo, in order to develop the social field of OMAEC. From the beginning, we wish to support a project that brings together three important pillars:
-EDUCATION
-CHILDREN and YOUTH
-MIGRATION
We are aware of the FRATELLI PROJECT between the Congregation of the Marist Brothers and the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools – La Salle – to provide education for the children and young people of migrant families, where experiences are already being developed in Lebanon and Spain and in a special way the Fratelli Project has already begun in MAICAO (Colombia) near the border with Venezuela.
For this reason, Nelson Moros travelled to Rome, where he had a fraternal meeting with Brother Rafael Matas (La Salle) at the Generalate, during which the information was extended and the Fratelli Project thanked OMAEC for this gesture with a view to establishing an agreement of collaboration and help in favour of the “MAICAO FRATELLI PROJECT”.
