The American Union of Alumni of Catholic Education is in a phase of renewal; last December 18, 2020, an Extraordinary Assembly was held in which the Chairman Mr. Alfonso Giraldo (Colombia) presented his resignation after being elected Chairman of the OMAEC; the Vice-Chairman Mr. Alejandro Galván (Mexico) took over the presidency.
A new Ordinary General Assembly has been called for Saturday 6th March 2021 (on line) where the National Confederations and all the American Correspondents will participate; one of the main points will be the election of a new Chairman of UNAEC America.

Other wise, the Chaiman of OMAEC Mr. Alfonso Giraldo made a quick trip to Panama in early December 2020,
where he met with our Correspondent Mr. Luis Wong, in order to move towards the creation of a Panamanian Confederation of alumni of Catholic education and to learn more about the Panamanian reality.
We wish a happy development of the elective Assembly.
